Metropcs. Ok this is the first smart phone I ever owned. I love the apps and everything, but is there a way I can have this phone act as simple as possible when it comes to being a cellphone.
1. I can't see missed calls on the homescreen, I have to go through the log. Can I just see my missed calls soon as I look at my phone, you know, like regular phones
2. Same with voicemail. I never know that I have unheard messages unless I accidentally come across the notification.
3. Call waiting. While am on another line, either it goes straight to voicemail or I can hear the beep but can't see who's calling, so since I can't see missed calls, it's a little annoying. It's come through right before though so it's nothing that I changed in the phone
Handcet sms is awesome if anyone can suggest an app to make missed call and voicemail as simple, I will be very very grateful. Thanks!

you should have a white bar at the top of your screen, it will have your signal and time showing in the bar to the right, and if you have a missed call or voicemail it will show on the left side of the bar, and if you put your finger on the bar and swipe down, it will pull down and open the bar showing the number you missed or that you have voicemail, just tap on either one to open. Hope that helps and many happiness with your phone :D

There are also apps which enable notification by number on the dock at the bottom of the screen, although I have not used or researched them. LauncherPro (replacement homescreen app) has this feature built-in, all you have to do is enable it, and you will see missed calls, texts, and email numbers.
