Help, getting pics from text msg's

I have the note 2. and yes it's my first smartphone. When I recieve a picture from a text message. How the heck can I save the picture? I have tried hitting the menu button on the bottom left. and the only options I can get are set picture as? I dont' want to set it as a screen or wallpaper. I just want to be able to save it. I wouldn't even mind having to share it. So I could find it somewhere else and save it. But for the life of me, I can't save a dang picture that was texted to me!

Usually, a simple long press on the photo will bring up the option to save the photo to your phone. The photo can then be found in your Gallery in the Download folder.

It doesn't work with MMS photo. Touch and hold does nothing to the MMS picture using the default Message App. Maybe a different MMS app will let you do it. The only thing I could do is to take a screen shot of the picture, but you will also capture the top bar and have to crop it out.

Nevermind! As soon as I posted the above, I found a way to do it. Instead of opening up the picture and try to touch and hold, touch the hold the picture while it is still inside the chat bubble and then you will get the save attachment option! :D

Oh, yes, that is what I meant. I'm sorry for not being more clear to not "open" the photo first. I'm glad you got it figured out!
