Help help - google contacts is stupid

Hi, so I have a problem. Google contacts has taken over my phone with useless contacts. I clicked view only phone contacts, but the problem is when I use the search function within the People app, it shows EVERYTHING. How can I only show phone contacts ALL the time?

open app drawer.people.menu.view uncheck show auto gmail contacts

Doesn't matter, I only have phone contacts showing. And that is the only thing that shows. But when I search my contacts, it shows everything...
