Help Help help need voda mms/internet settings

hi i got a htc desire and ive rang vodafone and they keep giving me stuffd up settings.i cant download or recieve anything from mms.imin australia so if anyone can help. and it also keeps saying generic network failure. help needed:mad:
 
Got this off the VF site in Oz!

MMS Configurator

Setting up the Device

  1. On the device, tap the Menu icon (or Applications > Menu)
  2. Select Settings > Wireless & networks (or Wireless Controls) > Mobile networks > Access Point Names.
  3. Press the Menu key and tap New APN.
  4. Select Name, enter VF PXT and tap OK.
  5. Select APN, enter live.vodafone.com and tap OK.
  6. Enter the user name and password listed below. If no value is listed, leave the field blank.
    • User name:
    • Password:
  7. Select MMSC, enter http://pxt.vodafone.net.au/pxtsend and tap OK.
  8. Select MMS proxy, enter 10.202.2.60 and tap OK.
  9. Select MMS port, enter 8080 and tap OK.
  10. If available, select Authentication type then select PAP
  11. Select APN type, enter mms and tap OK.
  12. Press the Menu key and select Save
The settings are saved and the service is ready for use.
 
ok i did that and its still not sending even a normal meesage. also need internet aswell. its so so annoying

Setting up the Device

  7. Select APN type, enter default and tap OK.
  8. Press the Menu key and select Save.
  9. If necessary, tap Access Point Names then tap the radio button next to VF WEB to set the profile as default.
  10. Press the Home key.
  11. Tap the Menu icon.
  12. Tap Browser (or All programs > Internet)
  13. Press the Menu key and select More > Settings > Set home page.
  14. Enter Welcome to the Corporate Website of Vodafone Group Plc and tap OK.
The settings are saved and the service is ready for use.

Are you by chance using an old sim card?

The weird thing is that according to the VF site, the Desire isn't even for sale!! :confused:
