E:Can't find MISC:

what should i do?

Wrong recovery for a PVT4 handset, you needed to root but flash AmonRA instead. Did you get the RUU for your phone before rooting?

not i did not get the RUU, trying to download this now RUU_Bravo_Froyo_hTC_Asia_WWE_2.13.707.1_Radio_32.44.00.32U_5.09.05.30_2_release_143921_signed

Does the bootloader screen say alpharev s-off at the top? If s-off has worked and you have fastboot access you should be able to install a suitable recovery that way. Unfortunately I don't have instructions with me here. If you can do that you can stick a rom on sd and flash.

But TBH RUU & start again may be the simplest solution.

If it's the right RUU for your handset you should be fine. I've never run one (and hope I never do), but I'm sure Eddy can advise if there are any subtleties.

Run the exe and follow the prompts. It's really that simple.

If you don't have sense, or Rom doesn't boot, do it.in.fastboot mode

No, extracting rom won't fix recovery. Connect phone to pc (in fastboot, as SUroot says, as you can't boot rom) then run .ext on pc.

i tried that, in fastboot USB... but i kept getting this

USB connection error

Rom Upate Utilityu cannot connect to your android phone.

Check the following:

1) Android phone is connect to usb cable (yes)
2) USB cable is connected to PC ... yes too

OK, so ignore my earlier post and try the PB99IMG.zip thing. I've done a little checking and it seems there's more than just the ROM in there.

Apologies for the misdirection: I read "extract rom" and took that literally. But from the linked thread it seems clear that pb99img is the complete set of software.
