Help Help. how to browse files from PC

I hooked up my droid X to the pc. but certain folders are not shown, even if i check show hidden folders. please help

You will not be able to access all the files on the phone, and probably don't need to. You can wait for root, but it could be a while/never for the Droid X.

What files/folders are you looking for specifically?

How do you know it's not showing all folders?

if i make a folder. the folder is saved in the phone. but once i disconnect and reconnect it becomes invisible.

Try seeing if the folder is still listed on the phone by using Astro File manager (it free from the market).

the folder is still there.

for example.

create folder called GBA. put in a rom.
i can play the gba game in the folder.
but when i disconnect and reconnect the folder is invisible.
but i can still see it through the phone
