Root Help I have screwed up

I have bought a new 16gb card from Play, and thought great, install it, and then flash the new Leedroid rom, yeah didnt work, set my card to have 1gb ext3 after the fat 32 with no swap on gparted. Then in windows I copied the rom onto the SD card, all ok.
Started the phone up in clockword mod and it just said no zip file to install??
I have already reformated (like the complete tool I am!) the old card, so I tried the same with that, and guess what, that wont work either. I have the phone actualy working, but just dont seem able to use the SD card at all.
Looking for the nearest window as we speak!

RESOLVED IN POST 41! Got there in the end thanks all!!!

All you should need is the LeeDroid rom zip file itself and point ClockworkMod to it within the recovery menu.

Sorry guys, not having much luck here at all. Major car issues today too........ but thats by the by.
Right ok, sorted out my new sd card via Gparted so had the Fat 32 partition, then 1gb of ext partition after it.
Then unmounted the sd card so that my computer could see it, under the clockword mod recovery, and copied the Leedroid rom over to it (in zip format). Then remounted the sd card, as normal.
Then go to install from zip in the menus, and nothing is showing there at all. I have the existing Leedroid that is on my phone already, so the phone will work, I just cant flash it anymore. Have also tried to use my old sd card, and I can not get either of them to see a zip file in the clockword mod recovery. That helping?? (I am new to all this so bear with me!)

If you transfer a zip to sd, clockwork.won't see it unless you reboot clockwork. Have you tried that via advanced menu?

Argh!
I just mounted again so my computer could see the sd card, deleted the lee droid on there, and put a new copy on, then rebooted clockwork, and then went to "install zip from sd card" then "choose zip from sdcard" only thing showing is "-clockworkmod/"

From Windows, I can put things onto the Fat32 no problems, can see them on the card via Astro manager, just wont let me use the install from zip function on clockwork mod

Suppose it may help if I give all the info I can see on my phone (dont know whats relevant and whats not).
Ok I go into HBOOT and it shows: -
Bravo PVT1 Ship S-On
Hboot-0.93.0001
Microp-031d
Touch Panel - Synt0101
Radio-5.10.05.23
Aug 10 2010, 17.52:10

I then go into Recovery... It shows ClockworkMod Recovery v2.5.0.7, then install from sd card, insatll zip from sd, (not the update thingy). And there is nothing showing except a line saying clockwork mod/
I have partitioned the card via Gparted with Fat32 then EXT3 after it. Have booted the phone up and it was ok. Then put Leedroid on (zip file) and rebooted, did the wipe cache and data, then get what I mentioned above.
If I mount the card to the pc (in clockwork mod) I can see the leedroid zip no problem. If mounted when the phones booted, I can see all the info on the sd card on my pc (if you get my meaning). I can save music and stuff to the card and it plays.
I have tried to format the card in windows, and gone into recovery again, and put the zip file on that way, and rebooted again to no avail.
Cant now see the card in Gparted anymore on my pc, will try again on my laptop just in case, but will have to wait until tonight as I am in work.
Does anyone have any ideas? Am really at my wits end!!!! Wish I hadnt bothered trying to be clever now :-(

Its odd that clockworkmod can ONLY see the clockworkmod folder. It should see ALL folders on your SD card. When you go into a folder, its either empty or showing a zip file. Is the clockworkmod it can see a folder? You definitely dont have a zip called clockworkmod?

Only thing I can suggest really is s-off and re-flash clockwork or flash amonRA.

Personally, I'd go back to 100% stock and start the rooting again. But use AmonRA as it's better than CWM IMO. I only say go back to stock as Sod's Law you'll try and S-OFF and it'll go wrong and properly brick your phone

I didnt realise when you did the unrevoked thing that there was an option to use either clockwork or AmonRa??
Am doing some research into both what SuRoot has suggested and also what eddyos has suggested.
Am nervous either way of screwing up even more!

You have to get S-off, then fastboot flash it.

Unrevoked allows you to specify your recovery before connecting your device,

That said, Eddy has a point, so maybe just do that.

Ok I shall have a go at getting it back to stock tonight I think.
Once I have it back to stock, (if I can do it), what am I best to do?
Should I then get the relevant AmonRa thing and go through unrevoked again, then partition my sd card?
Or the method I am thinking is, go back to stock, then reformat the sd card, not using quick format or anything but the deep format, then run gparted to sort the sd card, then go to unroked yadayadayada.
Whachya reckon?

Youve already partitioned the card. May be worth reformatting the partitions in Gparted though.

May be worth doing that first.
