HELP! I need somebody...help

Lurker
Hi guys, i need your help. I told the father of my girlfriend that I could fix his "fly touch 4"... which has no wifi. It's says 'unable to scan for networks.'
But now I just found out that it isn't a FT but some elcheapo ripp-off. And I have no clue what kind of rom, kernel, driver to use for this. It has the following specifications:

  • Model: Android P1001c
  • Android version:V2.3 2011-11-24 (401112)
  • Kernel Version: 2.6.32.9 root@wanghua -desktop #246
  • Build number: FRF85B
  • ARM Cortex a8
  • Capacitive screen
some extra's:
-it has a simcard slot (or slut...)
-it's one without a rj45 (which a lot off original FT's do have)

Does anyone of you guys know what this is and what to use to make it run ok?

THX

P.s. I know this has been asked a few times, but I never found a good answer...

I think it's called a SuperPad....not very "Super" though.

Suggest you send it back for a refund or exchange for something better.

Helpful as one can be for these cheapo things from Shenzhen. Let me guess, you bought it on Ebay and it was shipped from Hong Kong?

Basically there's two things that tend to go wrong with these things, either a problem with the hardware, because it's cheap and poor quality, or the software becomes corrupted because it's buggy, which means it has to be re-loaded.

BTW the Chinese in our office that use tablets, either have Apple iPads or Samsung Galaxy Tabs.
