Help Help! Incorrect installation rom.

Hello,
I have a HTC Desire. I rooted and installed CyanogenMod7 with Rom Manager. So far OK. Later I wanted to install another ROM. Also with RomManager and Clockwork Recovery Mode. Here I made a big mistake (I erased everything ... date format, system, everything!). There is no new ROM or in Restore old. The phone open than Clockwork Recovery mode or reboot. I keep it in the socket. Is there any possibility to install Rom from PC? When I connect USB cable, I see drive G in PC, but I can not open it. HTC device appears in Device Manager Properties / PC. I wait your help. Thank you! Adriana:)

From within clockwork, head to the mounts and storage menu. There should be an option there to mount USB storage (or similar, I can't remember the exact wording, sorry). It should then appear as a drive on your PC.

You should now be able to copy the zip file of the ROM you want to flash on to your USB Card and flash from there.

Thank you! It worked. Please recommend me a stable ROM for HTC Desire. I would prefer to have HTC Sense (It was Ok with original ROM). I need larger internal memory (or unlimited). Can you give me a link where to download a ROM? Thank you very much!

I've the Desire HD so not entirely sure what the the best available ROMs for the original Desire, sorry. Hopefully a Desire regular will be able to chime in and assist.

Glad you're nearly sorted though! :)

If you go into the "all things root" sub forum here, go into the "all about rooting" thread, literally everything you need is there, linked.

There is also a good "what rom type are you using" thread where you will see what we tend to use there.

Have a look. Welcome :)
