help installing cyanoganmod

when i started installing cyanogenmod it crashed and came up with this

set_metadata_recursive: some changes failed
E :Error in /sdcard/cm-11-20140809-NIGHTLY-i9100.zip
(Status 7)
Installation Aborted.

i am installing it on to my Samsung S2

What recovery are you using? Did you check the MD5 sum to see that it matched on the download of the ROM?

Also, I moved this thread to the root subforum of the S2.
Could you also please confirm you have the international S2, i9100? Thanks!

Are you sure you have a compatible rom? What "Status 7" error means is that the rom contains an "assert" list to check against and your phone is not on the list. My guess is that the GT-i9100 is on the list but the "T" variant isn't.

From what I can see, the i9100T uses different modems, so if you flash a rom for the i9100, you can lose 3G until you flash the correct modem.

If you are will to take the risk and see if the CM11 rom works ...

But please, double and triple check that this won't brick your phone. We'd all hate that ... especially you.
