Help Help! I've lost certain sounds!

Hello,

It seems like I've lost some small sounds from my rooted Verizon G2 (4.2.2).

There used to be a little "trash" sound the phone made when I dragged an icon from the desktop to the "remove" button at the top. Also, when I turn off the screen (using the rear button or double-tap), the little noise that used to be there is also gone (same sound as when turning the screen on, which is still there).

Those are the two that I've seen missing so far... Any way to restore my full sound set?

Is this your first rooted device . If not get a root or file explorer . Check to see if its in the ui media sounds . If not make a backup of the rom u are on . Flash the os aka original software . Extract the sounds that are missing that you want back to a file . Now flash your back up and make your changes. Also make sure the PERMISSION IS SET. post back if u need more help

No, I have a rooted Thunderbolt.

I'm using root explorer (3.1.1)

>>Check to see if its in the ui media sounds .
What is "it" called and in which folder?

...
Is it possible that a certain volume is too low/off? I don't want to go through all that flashing, etc., if just the volume of a certain function is down.

True but with the file explorer will tell u or show u that they are or are not in the ROM . If not in the ROM you can flash the os and extract what sounds . And place them in the rom with proper permission .

This would be located in the file called MEDIA . .

System>scroll down to media > ui sounds

Wouldn't it just be easier to download the specific .ogg file and place it in the correct folder?

System>scroll down to media > ui sounds

Thanks for this location.
There are many ogg files here... does anyone know what this deleting/trash/throwing away sound is called?

@TritonDroid--
"Touch feedback & system" is turned all the way up.

I think the sound may be called Homescreen_Remove

edit: system/media/audio/ui folder is 1.85 MB and contains 58 .ogg files.

Hi,

So I do have "Homescreen_Remove.ogg" in that folder. It's 14.33k.

Any reason why it's not being played when I trash something from the homescreen?

Based on your previous responses, I have no idea why its not working. Seems like your settings are correct.
