Help Help! Kies says device does not support software to update S2?

Hi,

I have downloaded Kies to my home computer and it downloaded successfully but in the firmware box it states that my device does not support software to update. I have never updated my S2 and i know it is version 2.3.3. Can anyone help with this problem as I have run out of options?

I am getting the same message with my Galaxy Note, though the wife updated her S II without any issues. Samsung Kies is a piece of garbage IMHO.
