Root Help! Looping at HTC logo while booting up

Hi all,

History:
I flashed into a new rom and noticed that the superuser/root is not behaving well. So, I tried using AAHK (The Advanced Ace Hack Kit) but it hang at these lines:

INFO[RUU]WP,radio,19
INFO[RUU]WP,radio,27
INFO[RUU]WP,radio,36
INFO[RUU]WP,radio,44
INFO[RUU]WP,radio,100
OKAY [ 35.863s]
finished. total time: 38.923s
rebooting...
finished. total time: 0.162s
Radio downgrade complete - starting next process - please be patient...


Now,
I could not boot up my device. It is looping at the HTC logo and the only way to stop it is by removing the battery.

I can reach bootloader but all options could not bring back my device working.

I am now attempting to try using RUU to fix it (from: http//www.mod2xtreme.com/showthread.php?t=12165 ) my laptop/PC could not connect to the device via USB while it is powered on (ERROR 170).


1. Is RUU the correct way to go? If yes, kindly advise on the ERROR 170 fix.

2. If the answer for 1. is negative, kindly advise your recommendation.

Sorry to hear that you are having problems... from what I understand, you were rooted and then ran the AAHK?

Can you get in to bootloader mode?

Thanks for the fast reply! It is indeed a nice impression I get in this forum

I just figured out the solution and got my phone working now, phew!


The error I faced was ERROR 170.

The solution is to select Fastboot (it will become Fastboot USB if USB cable is connected) in Bootloader.
Leave the screen on Fastboot USB while performing the RUU steps - that's what I did
