We need more info because Android is all about push notifications. What email account are you using? Where are you expecting to see notifications?

Thanks! I'm using pop3 email (videotron)
I need the push notifications push it to main screen so I dont have to go to the mail clain
And and check if I have mail. Let say first 2 line or 3 lines of email email you can read it from home screen.

Your email notifications are going to come in at the top of the screen in the notification bar. You can pull the notification bar down and go directly to the email message.

Are you referring to the email widget?

Just like this! Without touching thee home button.

There is also mail notification in the notification bar at the top. It will show a different email icon notification for each email account and you can specify the color for each account. MUCH more informative than iPhone IMO.

I have a similar problem...I need to manually click o my gmail icon and then click on the refresh button in order to download my emails. Please help! thanks.

ps.I have a note II also.

same problem as garage. I always have to go into my email icon refresh and viola new email. Only problem is I miss a lot of important emails. On my old note this wasn't a problem. So I am thinking either op error or jb error

What is peak settings?

gunaa, you are trying make the new email notification like the iPhone's. I was looking into that earlier too. You can do something similar, but it involves downloading some apps and widgets, and it would not be really exactly like the iPhone. If you really wants to do it, look at Widget Locker and Executive Assistant.

I just look at the status bar for new mail, and pull it down to read my notifications. I am used to it by now.

You can set the email app to check every 5 minutes and specify the times it starts and stops checking.

I actually disabled the gmail account "email" sync, and set up the m.google exchange server to push gmail's emails to my Note II. The emails get to my phone pretty much instantly. I think it also uses less battery because it is push mail.

That's way beyond me! :)

5 mins is more than enough to wait for emails...

I like a bit of peace and quiet in my life.

well.. i used the email app provided using hotmail though. Note 2 does notify me when there is a new mail. Well but as for other apps notifications it seems like some is not working. eg facebook.
