im going to switch to tmobile this weekend for sure ... i want what one would consider "the hottest phone" available .... initially i have a need for a keyboard but the g2 seems like its not the best thing anymore so ive boiled my decision up to 2 phones . . . galaxy 4g or G2X ..... honestly when it comes to comparing specs it doesnt help me . . . the tmobile guy says this is a gamers phone . . im no gamer . . . i browse the web & text ... is this not the phone for me . . . i need an amazing screen to stay satisfied since ive been using epic 4g since august, before that evo . . . . any advice or input i appreciate
 
G2X. It's the same price as the Samsung with new contract and it's the latest and greatest.

I had renewed by contract and got a Galaxy about 2 weeks ago. Not a bad phone, however I traded it in today for the G2X and lets just say its not even close. Unless you want the Touchwiz software (which doesnt add much) I would take the G2X at the same price without any hesitation.
 
Samsung has an bad name for not upgrading the phone OS. Then you also need to install their software for software update. That's quite stupid. And just for that, I wont buy a samsung phone.
 
thanks 4 replies ... im on a samsung now . . . I'm not happy with this devices known flaws that haven't been addressed even 8 months later . . . lol even the stock battery meter which is not even close to accurate hasn't been fixed as I noticed on the tmobile reps phone today . . it showed about 3/4 or so on meter but widget & actual % showed 39
