And make sure you read, re-read, and understand all steps, just in case.music depends on what your music source is. In general, if you have organized files, you can just copy paste into a directory on phone's sd card while hooked to computer. If you are an itunes user, market apps such as iSyncr and Doubletwist are popular options to extract music from it.
battery is a complicated issue...might as well just tell you to start reading people's solutions there. Mainly 4G radio usage and heavy usage those first days you own a new toy are to blame from what I can tell. With just 3G I have battery life matching my old incredible.
Make sure your GPS is off, and download LTE onoff
Something else interesting that I noticed...
I downloaded the Current Widget app that shows how many mA are being used at any given moment. When I had LTE turned on (as well as WiFi) I was at 840 mA. When I turned it to 3G only (with WiFi still on), it dropped to 124 mA. That's a big difference. I know it's obvious that LTE will use a lot more power, but I didn't expect it to be that much more.
Just interesting, that's all.

Mainly just meant the standalone GPS to turn off as it seems a good amount of apps use it. The standard VZW and Google location services can stay on. I usually monitor the standalone GPS with the stock power control widget on one of the homescreens. Usually helps a tad.Fyi, GPS does not need to be turned off. It only turns on when an app is using it and will notify you by the satellite icon on the top of the screen.
According to HTC and VZW this is a known issue that will be fixed in an upcomming OTA update.![]()
Welcome! For music, I use both Doubletwist and PowerAmp. I have an iPod and I also like to organize music in Windows Media Player. I've found that PowerAmp blows away the sound quality of my iPod so I've been using my dinc and TB for my music player more now. With Doubletwist, the desktop app lets you import playlists from both players (iTunes and WMP), then you can easily sync the combined music over to your TB. Then after syncing, PowerAmp will recognize the playlists that DoubleTwist just imported. I'm pretty picky when it comes to sound quality and I have not found a player that sounds better than PowerAmp. Just my opinion.
For battery, I too have found that if I disable the 4G I am able to get the same battery life as my old Incredible. I just discovered this the past couple of days which was a total life saver. I fell in love with this phone but it made me really sad to think about returning it because of the batter life. Knowing that I am able to extend the life pretty substantially has just made me love it even more. The app I use to toggle between LTE and CDMA quite easily is LTE OnOff. It's one of the few (if not only) free app that can let you toggle this setting so easily.
Hope this helps.
