Help Help me please, the phone is (not)updating

I've connected my i7500 to NPS and run update, but update was bad.. :(

Here is the ting (sorry for bad english):
the NPS sad there is update, I was thinking that it was H8 update, so I ran update, and after it finished I checked for version and it was only G8 and NPS say it's the final update and nothing new is on line???

I'm pretty mad about this, so I wanna flash it manual..
Is it safe?

On this forum there are 100 of instructions, and there are big differences.
Now who ever got i7500 and had successfully updated it to I5 please, a link to instructions that u have used would be enough.

I have owned a Qtek 9100 and if u mess his win 5.1 by update to 6.0 the phone is dead and there is nothing that can bring him back, non of experts in services.
Is this the case with i7500 or if I break it down it can be fixed in service???
 
think one person did but he turned it off mid flash

just make sit and hope you dont get a power cut mid flash lol
 
It's a good idea to flash stuff from a laptop rather than desktop for this reason. A power-cut won't take out your machine mid-flash.
 
I guess if you trash the bootloader you're in trouble. Surprising tho, I would have thought download mode would be in ROM.
 
im only going from what i read, but people can brick their phones and if download mode was always obtainable then i doubt youd be able to brick it. so only samsung knows about that one
