Root Help me please!

Okay so i have an HTC evo with the latest in Cyanogen.....now i would like to know if there is an app that can add music for when someone is on hold....or actually an app that adds a hold button on regular calls plus music of your choice. Im constantly calling and wishing i could place people on hold for a second for business calls...and if i did have that hold button i wish i could add custom music...please tell me android forum...does such an app exist.

Can you boot into recovery mode manually?

Best way to flash a rom is manually -

1. take nandroid backup if you haven't
2. flash Calkulin format_all - this wipes everything
3. flash your rom

I'd also recommend you put amon_ra 2.3 recovery image if you haven't, its easier to use than clockwork recovery mod.

Right, so turn the phone off, turn it back on while pressing and holding volume down to get to hboot, then select the recovery option. Can you still get to recovery?
