Hey Guys,
I have the galaxy S2, and i am a total music lover. However the s2 only comes with 16 GB of storage so i bought a 32 GB SD Card. But whenever i put in the SD card, my phone keeps on saving other things into it. How can i stop my phone from saving things to my external sd card. I just want the Sd Card for Music.

Try some apps in the android market there's a lot to choose from.
Its my opinion though.
You can use root to gain total os privilege letting you do more.

Then use root explorer, root browser something like this to manually move them.
I understand but I don't know how to block the SD card from installing new files.

i found out something by searching through another forum.
Turns out that the phone can have 3 storage:
1. Phone Memory which is about 2 GB
2. Internal Storage which is about 12 GB
3. External Storage which could be 32 GB.
The phone saves things automatically in either the Phone memory or the Internal Storage and would never touch the external SD Card. So i guess the purpose of the External SD card is to save media files such as Music, Photos, Videos, etc.
This was what helped me!:
