Root Help me plz

so i tried to use simple root or whatever its called today...

followed instructions...got to the recovery screen and no its telling me

Main Version is older!
Update fail!
Do you want to reboot device...what is wrong here?

(ps. when i go to recovery all i get is the screen with the phone and the triangle around it...nothing else.)

Follow the instruction very closely. There are two different IMG files, if you are trying to use the same one twice you will get that error message. You have to download the second IMG file to do the second part.
