Trying to root my credo/sprint HTC hero. I'm wondering if I ever get this thing working (rooted) what can I expect? I a busy working mom who just doesn't have time for my phone to linger between roaming and not roaming. I have found an app to keep me in roaming mode but need to root the phone. I'm still not exactly sure what this will look like, what future complications I need to be aware of. What else I need to do.... I don't want to be a super-user, just to always roam.... please help with any and all insight you might have! I've done a lot of reading but still just don't understand what this will look like on my phone and any complications I may have. Also there are so many ways supposedly to root a hero and I have tried at least 5 with multiple downloads, paying for software - none of it worked. My Hero's build # is 2.39.591.1, kernel version 2.6.29 Thanks.

On the link below where you posted, they will most likely be able to guide you, I assume credo is a carrier that uses the Sprint network, so I would not want to guide you down the wrong path, I am sure someone will weigh in here to help you out
