Help Help me with screen issue on GSM version

Juyeop

Newbie
Hi, I just received Google Play version of Galaxy Nexus. One thing I noticed from the device first was a portion of black screen that is about 1/5th size on far left home screen. It's not like a little point or something. It's one long bar-shaped, so I rebooted it and then the black bar disappeared. I wonder if I have to get a replacement for it. Even though it disappeared and looked normal now, Later, It might break out again right?? Or is it normal to be like that at the first time of functioning for the phone??????

gimme an advice plz!! please help me

did it stay in the same position no matter what screen you was on?

It was only one screen showing black bar vertically and it was far-left one. When I moved to other screens, it got normal. Any idea why it happened?? I think it is some kind of hardware problem. The fact that It disappeared makes me doubt more in the problem..............

i'm not really sure. This is the first i've heard of the instance. What kind of warranty comes with the phone when you purchase it from Google Play? I assume just the 1 year manufacturer warranty?

I had this once after about 6 weeks of use, although I flashed 4.0.4 after rooting. It has never appeared again since and my Gnex works flawlessly.

It comes with 1 year Samsung warranty. But the fact is I just received the phone yesterday, so I could return it If I want to. I'm a little hesitant to do that because the black bar on the screen disappeared, so Google won't accept it as broken device and gimme an replacement.........
