Newbie
So I rooted my phone and have a custom ROM everything is great but I want ok Google can I download Google now launcher while I am running a custom rom? I have a feeling it will **** up my phone
 
You don't need Now Launcher to get ok google but yeah it will run fine with a custom rom. All launchers will
 
You need to set it up. Open your Google app, tap the three bar menu button top left, go to 'Settings - Voice' and set up the parameters. There is a '?' button top right on each page which gives help.

What does "block offensive words" do btw tommo?like does it block YOUR OWN offensive words?
PS are you using Phlat theme by Travis Hall?
 
Hi funky, yes it replaces some letters with a * and there is no voice response from the nice lady but it does do a web search for the *'d input.

With it ON, "what does 'shit' mean" gives a screen response 'what does s*** mean' and it does a web search for s.

With it OFF, the screen response is 'what does shit mean' and the nice lady says "shit means faeces"

I'm sorry but I have no idea what Phlat theme is .......
.....and I'm not using it ;) or at least I don't think I am :eek:

PS Just Googled it - something about CM12. Still no wiser but I can now say with some confidence that I'm not using it :D

Nice one tommo cheers for the response :thumbsupdroid: yeah Phlat is a theme, a theme basically changes how the UI of your phone looks and you need a custom rom based on Cyanogenmod (cm12) to use them.
Your UI looks kinda like mine (using Phlat)

No, I'm completely stock, 5.0.2 Sense 7.0, I'm more than happy with it, as I was with the M7, so tend to leave it that way.
