help! messaging app won't open

when i click on messaging i get my usual lists of messaging. when i click on one, the screen goes black and says:

the application Messaging
(processs com.androi.mms)
has stopped unexpectedly.
please try later.

however it doesnt come up later. ive tried turning the phone on and off and leaving it off for periods of time and taken the battery out. nothing works.

what do i do?

try clearing data and cache and reboot...if that doesnt work use go sms or some other messaging app.....did u move your app to sd card

Go to settings, applications, manage applications then on the top hit all.

Find messaging then then clear cache, and if that doesnt work you can always download an alternative from the market, personnaly I use go sms.

I AM UNABLE TO OPEN ANYTHING ON MY PHONE AS THE FOLLOWING MESSAGE COMES UP "the application messaging (process com.android.mms) has stopped unexpectedly. please try again." I HAVE TRIED TURNING THE PHONE ON AND OFF AND NOTING ALSO I AHVE NO SIGNAL ON THE PHONE SO AM UNABLE TO USE ANY OF IT. MY LITTLE ONE WAS PLAYING WITH MY PHONE AND SHE SEEMS TO AHVE CHANGED IT FROM THE LG HOME SETTING
