Help Help!!!! Might as well have a jitterbug!!

I don't know.....I went back and deleted everything that I had downloaded and started from the beginning. Still no luck......

I just looked at the 7-Zip website...I'd suggest using a different program. It doesn't look very user friendly...probably not a good choice for a newbie. In their support forum, others did get that error code, but the solution was a lot of command line changes. Screw that.

Another thing you can do to check to make sure you got a good download is to use a program like Md5Checker to calculate the md5 and check it against the one on the XDA thread.

I use Winrar, open the archive and click the "test" button at the top.

I have given up. Thank you all for your help, but I just can't get the files to work. On the other hand, I may let my computer savvy nephew give it a go........I just don't think the phone is bricked!

My new Droid Razr arrived yesterday. Didn't get the Maxx, just the 8 gb.

I think I will hang around here and read some stuff......who knows what I may want to do with the new phone?? LOL!!!!!

Wait, I think the new phone is 16 gb; not 8. It's too early.....time for me to crash!!!!!
