Its only happened today for some reason but when I activate my mobile data I dont get any 'H' or 'H+' to say my mobile data is active. Ive even gone into the settings and everything seems to be normal but it still doesnt get activated. Even if I try and go onto the internet it says I haven't got any data active but I have put it on?

Ive removed the battery many of times and it still wont work. Im not going through the hassle of factory resetting my phone then having to download my apps and lose my app data. Can someone help please?

i had a similar issue try going to settings --> More settings --> mobile networks --> check mobile data is ticked also check network mode and then click on network operators and select your network operator manually it should start working.

Yeah I done all that and made sure I was on the right network but it still dont work :( wifi is fine its just mobile data wont come up

Try manually selecting all the networks available in turn except your own. You will get an error message saying your SIM will not allow this network, etc, blah , blah. Finally select your network and let it register, now reboot, and make sure you have mobile data switched on and Wi-FI switched off.

This, and I have no idea why it should be, worked wonders for a poor signal/data connection on the SGS2. It can't hurt to try with an SGS3.

Now and again you just have to get your hands dirty.

Activate airplane mode, leave it for a minute, then deactivate it.

Failing that, strip your phone, remove the sim, assemble your phone without the sim and power on. Let it boot, then shut it down, reinsert your sim, and boot up once more.

With luck that should see you right, if not, check your APN settings are right with your provider.

Well I finally sorted it and found a fix, the problem was the apn, I remembered when I had a phone a few years back and I had to do something with the apn. Anyway I got it to work by adding my network apn. Strange how it just wasnt there tho? How would that be?

Airplane mode sometimes fixes this in cases where yiu add an apn manually but it doesn't show up or isn't selectable, hense the mention.

Glad your sorted now chap :thumb:
