Help Help! My phone died.

I have an LG Olympus V. I need help. My phone died. It needs charging but it wasn't dropped. Trying to take out the battery, but don't really know how. (I'll look in the manual.) It has been charging for about 6 hours but nothing is happening. Not On. No charging icon. No nothing. Any suggestions?

How are you charging the phone (wall outlet, USB?)?

To take out the battery flip the phone over so that the camera eye is towards the top. Place your thumb gently on the silver part right above the eye and your first fingernail in the slit on the very top of the phone (push gently with your thumb while pulling with your first fingers fingernail) and gently pry the back plate off. (And don't feel bad about not figuring it out.. I had to watch a youtube vid to figure it out when I first got my V lol.)
