Help Help: my phone doesnt switch on

Hello y'all,

my samsung galaxy s2 GT-I9100 doesnt switch on until i plug the charger into it and then it comes on and stays on. this started happening yesterday. when i switch the phone off, no charger connected, i get the battery on the display showing as half full or half empty (which ever way you look at it). then it flicks between that and an emtpy battery with an exclamation mark in a yellow triangle next to it. the phone doesnt switch on until i plug a charger into it.

i have soft reset and hard rest the phone but to no avail.

any help will be much appreciated.

Try removing the battery and waiting 15-30 minutes or so for the capacitors to discharge before putting it back in. Once my SGS2 would not boot at all, and this trick resolved the issue.

I am also having weird issues with the battery sensor. For example, last night with the phone charged 100% I unplugged it from the charger and used it surfing the web for nearly an hour, yet the start screen and Menu > Settings said the battery was still at 100%. I don't think that's possible.

Some people have had battery issues if the phone doesnt turn on with only the battery could be a bad battery also the problem with the phone showing 100 percent charged is somewhat comon too. If it happens to much or cant get the phone to work on battery you have 30 days to exchange if you bought it from tmobile or 1 year with samsung.
