help!!! my phone wont stop resetting!!!!!

hello i have a htc desire, my battery ran out i have now put it on charge and now it wont stop resetting!! wat can i do i hav taken my battery out and sim card give them a wipe...... but still it keep resetting!! this happens alot! wat can i do? i really need my phone as im a carer! please help thanks x
