Help Help....my touchpad is frozen

I was using my pad earlier. I just picked it up to use again and my screen is frozen. I can not get passed the locked screen and cannot even turn the unit off. I am a non techie and am at a loss at what to do now. I had downloaded ICS some weeks ago and have not had a problem since I did that.
 
Hold down the "home" button and press the power button, holding both down for about 30 seconds and it should power off. :D
