Hey everyone,I'm brand new to these forums and i currently own an ATT Galaxy S2 and love it!BUT my girlfriend owns a Motorola Triumph and broke her screen!I recently ordered a new screen and digitizer for her and it came today...i have the plastic pry tool and a set of Torx screwdrivers but can't figure out how to take the damn thing apart...if ANYONE has a schematic or a tutorial video on how to replace the screen,it would be MUCH appreciated.I don't want to break her phone by accident so please someone help!thank you.

it would just be easier to have someone who works in the electronics field to do it for you...

paying 40-50 bucks for them to do it is better than $300 for a new triumph lol

Yeah or just calling VM up and have them send you a new phone.

Well if you really want to do it yourself and not get a replacement from vm look under the battery door and take out all the screws including behind stickers possibly. I haven't don't it personally but just make sure you take your time and if it doesn't want to come apart it probably cuz you missed a screw. After that you should be able to just unplug the LCD screen and digitizer and plug the new ones in. Hope this helps.

i took it apart myself and everything was hunky dory, took me 5 hours to carefully do it and finally was piecing it back together, but i screwed a wrong screw into the wrong hole and obliterated the LCD itself.i feel like a ****ing douche.gonna try to get my money back on the digitizer screen and get a new phone.

How, were you able to get it apart? What did you learn? What issues did you face. How can I avoid breaking the lcd?
Thanks

I've taken electronics apart for a while even ones I've never taken apart... The main thing is you want to make sure you have the right tools to take it apart. Also when taking something apart be sure to remove all the screws and take it apart SLOWLY and if it doesn't want to come apart there's probably a screw somewhere that you didn't remove. When removing the screen just don't press down on it too hard and carefully unplug the ribbon cable. I don't know how it is in this since I haven't taken it apart but there's probably a little plastic hinge type thing that you just lift up and pull the cable from.

Hope this helps!

Leave a thanks if I helped.

And remember go slowly and don't rush.

I was wondering if anyone knew what Torx screw do you need to dissemble the phone? Any best guesses? I know its smaller than a T8 and I just don't want to go trial and error on ebay. I'm trying to do the touchstone charging mod to my Triumph... If anyone knows and good thin cases that would be helpful too.

Its a T5 torx screw found out from my supply of screwdriver bits for electronics :D. And case wise I use a rocketfish case from bestbuy when I have a case on it and its pretty nice.
