Hello all,
my nephew has used my gmail account for downloading something in the android market, now he wants to remove it, but doesn't want to lose all of his data. Is this possible and how?

Hi hypertje! Welcome to Android Forums. This depends entirely on what he downloaded. Some apps have a backup feature which can retain info even after an app is deleted. Others don't have this. What app is it and maybe I, or someone else, can let you know.

Well, he downloaded many things, i actually don't know everything, but mainly he downloaded games, but he doesn't care too much about the apps, mainly he doesn't want to lose any contacts or that kind of data.

Contacts can be synced to your Google account online and exported from there. The games are usually harder to back up. Some have online backup from within, usually found in the menu or settings. Others have back up available on the market. And some, unfortunately, have to be started new.

For contacts you need to go into Settings > Accounts & Sync > (your Gmail account) > Contacts

Make sure the box next to contacts has a checkmark. Then press Sync Now.
Then go into your Gmail from a computer browser and make sure all of your contacts are there.
You can export from within Gmail on the browser to make sure you save them all.
The games you'll have to go into each one and look to see of there is an option

To back up your games use MyBackup, this application allows you to back up a range of data from contacts/text to apps/app data.
Just install the apps and follow the steps to back up your wanted app data.
You probably have to be rooted though
