Hi, british moto g user here, ( my carrier is tesco) and loving the phone. However, I have a micro SD card ( as the phone itself has only 8gb of storage) but the microsd card is having problems. Whenever I transfer an app onto the card after about 5 minutes the app stops working. If you try to launch the app it will popup with " com.(theapp) has stopped working." So now Iam restricted to only 8gb of storage. To mention iam on kitkat; hopefully getting lollipop soon. Any feedback or help is extremely appreciated. Thanks please help!

Hey Oli,

The issue is that KitKat's default storage is the emmc/internal SD card, meaning your applications natively run there by default. As a result it makes your external sd card basically just for media storage and larger files (like zip files and backups if you're rooted) There are work arounds for A2SD (apps to SD ) and links 2 SD. I think(pretty sure) they require root as they edit the build.prop but I'd suggest a quick Google of "KitKat SD card storage fixes". Good luck let us know if you get sorted.
