Is there a way to set the time frequency the phone searches and pushes mail?

The device can only be set to poll for email. The server pushes the email. If the server such as gmail is pushing the email to your phone than your phone does not need to pull the email. What email service are you using?

I'be only found that you can fetch email (where your phone goes to the email server and pulls emails) as soon as 5 minutes. I'm sure it helps with battery conservation. i understand gmail can be set to push.

I turn off notifations and set check manually on the HTC mail. So when I receive pushed email from gmail, I just open up the HTC mail. After reading it the gmail notification goes away.

Yeah I was looking for the push setting since we run IMAP and it has push capability.
That was something that did work on the Droid X.

It's not a dealbreaker... poll is fine but I have to set it up so that it's not doing it so often.
