Okay, here's my problem. I've had my HTC Desire for quite a while now. I originally rooted it but it's been such a long time since I did it, I'm having trouble remembering what I did. I know I created a goldcard at one point
I'm currently using an old LeeDroid Froyo rom (which has served it's purpose up to this point). I'm having some issues with not being able to download updates in the Google PlayStore with wifi (although I can access internet with wifi) but I am able to download updates through data so I figured it's time to get a more recent rom.
I want something stable without having to worry about storage space (currently, I've only got 30MB left of internal memory free). The things that are important to me are: 1) phone works, 2) text works, 3) camera and video works, 4) battery life/performance.
This is what I think I need to do:
1) find a new rom to use (since I'm looking for stability, I'm guessing a Gingerbread rom).
2) Place it on my sd card
3) Reboot phone into recovery
4) Wipe data or dalvik cache
5) Find the new rom and flash it
Is that right? Sounds almost too easy.
Just wondering if I'll have a problem because I rooted such a long time ago. I think I'm still S-ON - will that be a problem to flash a new rom?
Thanks!
