Newbie
Updated some downloads on my Desire got rid of some i don't use and only one downloaded was Antivirus, after that did the pull down on the screen to show the notifications and did a scan of the phone which it said was clean.

After this it went back to the normal screen but came up with;

"The application HTC Sense (process com.htc.launcher) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again." and has the "force close" button.

Tried turning on and off and removing battery but to no avail, when i turn on again it comes up with the lock screen showing the time/date etc. and connected to O2 but still has the force close/htc sense launcher fooked jobbie on the main screen.

HEEEEELLLLLLP

Yours in antici.......pation.

I take it you can't get into any of the menu's or settings? Is it rooted or Stock OS?

Hi, can't get into anything at all, and it's stock os, not on froyo either (still waiting for O2 to get their finger out)

Sorry, but sounds like you're going to have to go into recovery and do a factory reset

Turn off phone.

Hold Vol down and press power.

Get to HBOOT Screen

Use vol down to navigate to recovery and press power to select

Should then reboot and give black screen, Phone pictire and red triangle,

Hold vol up and press power.

Navigate to wipe data/factory reset.

There may be a better way, so wait to see if anyone else has a better idea first. This will lose all your data, apps, everything

Cheers for that, you are a star, did'nt have much on the apps that i wanted to save anyway, had the phone a while now but still not got it how i want it so losing them was no biggie.

Paul.
