hi there im hoping some1 can help i recently bricked my gt540 and its completly dead no vibrate on power up to lights nothing so a friend gave me another1. i can flash any rom and install any recovery or custom roms easily but this phone has a problem with the apns. i have a signal and 3g sometimes pops up and o2/uk is displayed in the corner. i cant make calls as soon as i try it calls then call ends straight away. i cant text either and no one can get through to me ive tried everythinng ie.. reflashing different roms and updates,went to settings and searched but keep getting "error while searching networks" even done manual apns im really confused and getting p88sed with this as its been a week akready so please help

Which ROM are you using? it sounds like a GSM problem to me, one option would be to check the sim card in another phone because GSM is the first thing ROM devs work on because its the most important feature, so it could be a problem with the SIM card, especially if you have flashed different ROMS.
 
hi delsus thanks for the reply im using 2.3.7 swiftdroid v2.0 asis based on cyanogen mod 7.1.0 kernel is2.6.29 and the build is grj22 and the kdz file is v20.b00 would appreciated it if you could tell which the best ones for o2 would be with fastboot anyway tried that n still not fixed. iv tried a different sim and same problem ive even tried my sim in another phone and it worked fine
 
i just tried a kdz update and it froze and stuck in download mode now my phone wont switch on at all and now this is the second one to do it
