Help needed

Hi there
We bought my son a birthday present age 8.
A cheap fusion 5 and I gave it a lock code of his birthdate.
He wanted to change the code as he didn't want his sister to play with it
Now he can't remember the code and it seems I can't un lock it
Help !!!!
What can I do to resolve this ???

Hello and ni hao Daylem1201 welcome to Android Forums.

I assume this cheap tablet is a non-Google device, as many of them are. A Chinese device from an unknown manufacturer. Problem is forgetting the password or pattern lock can be a problem. Google devices can be reset via Google. Usually the only way to get back into non-Google tablets is to hard reset back to factory defaults.

Is there anything in the instructions about this? (assuming the instructions are in English and not Chinese). Sometimes you have to hold down volume up or down and power buttons for about 10 seconds, or you poke a paper clip into a reset hole on the back.

This is their website:- a1csfusion5.com ...problem is the contact details are hidden behind an anonymous Godaddy proxy. But they're probably in China though, like me. If you can't get it reset, suggest you contact the Amazon vendor who you purchased it from.
