Hey everyone I just rooted from Gingerbread. Everything went fine until I tried to flash the MIUI 1.7 from recovery mode. I forgot about installing the ROM manager and flashing it from there. So the flash didn't fully work and I restored from the backup I made after I first got root. And now I don't have any service... I can't even dial *228. Can someone please tell me what I should do?!?!

I would try flashing RMK'S debloated rom if you're having issues. Make sure you wipe data and cache before you flash. I installed CM7 from recovery with no issues. I always clear data and cache before using a restore also. Even a simple reboot sometimes fixes some issues.

Where are you located? I dont have service right now either and I havent changed anything on my phone in weeks
wow I actually think it was because I had the back cover off. I didn't make the connection that when I put it back on that I got service again. It seemed like such a trivial thing. I had it off so I could easily take the battery out when I got stuck in the boot loop. I feel pretty stupid now. Thank you though!

That was happening to me when i was running the cm nightlies.(would happen weeks after flashing a rom) i would go to work in the morning (10 hour shift, in need of my phone for calls and google accessibility) and my service would go out for the rest of the day till either i flashed a new nightlie or a recovery (which i would do at work). This problem stopped as soon as i moved to MIUI...
