Root Help on 2.3.3 Update

i accidentally accepted the update today, however didnt apply it, while downloading some apps for my new DX2. Problem is that I have already rooted it. I did make a nandroid backup before and after root. I was curious if anyone thought it would be possible to locate that downloaded update and delete it off of the internal storage. I didnt install rooted 2.3.3 yet but was going to. I keep getting warnings that in 3/2/1 hrs the update will apply. So I turned the phone off to prevent it if possible. I guess I would have to use rsd lite to install rooted 2.3.3 from P3, but not sure if the update would still try to apply. If it does apply can I nandroid back to current settings? Any help here would be really cool. Thanks

I did look for the update in root explorer and astro but was unable to locate it, but Im not exactly sure where to look, or if I did find it Im not sure if I can delete it.

got it done. wiped data and cache, then a factory reset, then wiped again for safe measure. sbf'ed 2.2.2 over the top of the existing 2.2.2 to make sure i was starting off well. then i rooted with gingerbreak, then ran recovery for the dx2, then ran P3's update file from update.zip and went through the sucky process of reinstalling apps. now at 2.3.3 and rooted. amazing what this website and some time can do for somebody. only prob is now jrummys root tools and rom toolbox not working, but everything else is awesome, i sent him an email.
