Have you tried signing into your Google account (same info as your Gmail account)? Is that not working? You can also sign into the Play Store on your PC and see if it works there.

Have you tried wiping data and cache for the Play Store?
I also have the similar problem with my Ph too. First I am able to use the market with my gmail.
After that email was hacked and Google block this account due to suscipious activity. Sincethen I can't access the Google play with my new Gmail account. Is there anybody know about this problem place help!

i just had the same problem.
1.
First i received an email on my gmail account , which was an order of app i didn't do (my tablet is switched of since 2 weeks)
2.
then i log into google play, and saw there are other 4 app purchased i didn't do !
Then i quickly delete my credit card of googleplay and from google walled.
I started a cancelling of one application, i received the email of confirmation
I saw in the device property than the people who stole my account had his own device (samsung gt-i9100).
I also had the time to print the 5 orders i didn't do.
When i was logging into gmail, i saw my name was change by the one of a girl name identiy !, i quicky tried to changed my password and my secondary email has changed too ! Once i clicked anywhere, my account (and session) was closed.
3. i tried to relog into my gmail account on my pc and it said it was deleted and destroy. I just openned a recreate procedure to google.
I really don't know what was hacked :
- google wallet or google mail or google play or my tablet (switchoff) or my home pc computer where i have gmail session openned.
I don't know what will appen if i switch on my tablet now...
i don't know what to do now : go to police ? create an new gmail account to use my tablet ? call my bank ?
i tried to contact the seller of the application (i didn't purchase myself), to get the imei or cellphone number of the burglar but it can't provide it.
very strange and annoying case. I just buy my tablet last month, create the google account on it and now i was hacked and been stealen of 10
