Root Help on update

Hey, I need some help updating my EVO 4g.. I had it rooted to Boost Mobile last year but I just want to update the android version which is 2.2 right now but i'm scared if I do update I might lose my rooted boost mobile settings.. Can anyone give me a link to download a update or something and thats knows that the update won't affect the boost settings ?

yeah i think for boost you might have to take it in to get updated, i have not seen anything on how to update a boosted evo. sorry.
