help on wi-fi

i have a question about my wi-fi. Is there any way to use the 3G network and the wi-fi on my droid eris and use it on my computer.
so i want to use the phone internet on my lap top any ideas?

You would have to root to get the wifi sharing based tethering option for your laptop.

However, without root you can use the USB cable and tether your phone by using EasyTether or PDA Net. I use Easy Tether. Both are free but after 30 days or so, they block out https sites unless you pay a 1 time activation fee. Easy Tether is $10 and PDA Net is about $30. One of the best $10 I have spent for a program!
