HELP (PC -to- droid) expert

I am curently in Afghanistan, I have my Motorola Droid with me. We do not have cell service here or WIFI. My question is... Can I update the apps in my droid via USB from my PC? If not is there any other way you know that I can??

Frankly I don't think it can be done.

Yes, you can push apps to your phone using the adb shell. You'll need to install the Android SDK. Then you can push the .apk file to the phone and install it from there.

Doh! I never thought of that.

However, how on earth is the OP going to get the apps onto the PC in the first place? The Android Market doesn't allow the downloading of apps or updates directly to a PC as far as I know.

I'm not sure if Afghanistan supports the market anyway, but there are places to download files ... some legitimate, some not.
