That's easily accomplished... keep "Unknown sources" disabled in Settings/Security unless you really need it, and enable "Verify apps". This isn't really a virus, it's malware and can only be 'caught' by installing it, which these measures should prevent.

I'm actually a computer guy (Windows... maintenance, building, malware removal, etc), but still learning about Android and it's vulnerabilities. And... it's actually... "ransomware". LOL! :cool:
 
next time you should be able to use twrp to mount system then browse franework folder...this thing can and does install and run fine right from the franework folder.
