Phone thinks its plugged in or trying to be plugged in, and the next second thinks it's being unplugged then thinks it's being plugged right back in. continues this madness untill my phone dies. I also got my service disconnected forgot to pay the bill:cool:.

I have cleared everything no luck

reformatted no luck

flashed 3 different backups no luck

Plugged into my computer and safely removed hardware no luck

Plugged into wall charger no luck
Plugged into car charger no luck

Pulled battery no luck

reboot several times no luck

cleaned port with tooth brush and air duster

Help!:eviltongue:

I know you said you pulled the battery, but please confirm you pulled it out, phone disconnected from charger (in any form), and waited several minutes and/or attempted to power on rapidly for at least 10 seconds.

If you did not perform a proper power cycle a hardware problem could persist if its simple (even taking into account resets and flashes). If you performed it and the issue still persists than you should send it back under your mfg or any type of plan you may have.

The dead service is the perfect time to do this and not have to argue about a credit on your bill.

my problem with my phone seemed to be either something inside the usb port i picked out with my knife or pushing the usb plug around with it seemed to get it to stop bugging out. though i dont suggest this method i also dont suggest spending $100 for a reman phone either:D

I did that t and it stopped for a while. I think I just had a really bad phone. I hadn't heard of this problem with other phones/users until this thread came along. Hope it works out for you! I had to get mine replaced 4 times before they sent me one that was virtually problem free, they said this was a new one, but who knows at least it is working. Good luck!! :)

ill be sure to keep everyone up to date this thing has been acting weird ever since, but has seemed to cool down today for the time being. at least you got plenty of things to keep your mind off of it down there, i wish i was still down in cali i friggin love that place man lol:cool:

I'm having the same problem and have tried all the "solutions" given in this thread and none have worked. Please don't tell me I have to send this thing back. I just finally got a good rom installed that I like and now this.....UGH!!!

P.S.
How do I even send it back? I don't have the spare cash to ship it, does samsung pay for the shipping under the warranty?

Hey man, I feel your pain, :stickyman: mine was a new phone only two months old. I did try going to a Sprint store and the tech was real nice and said he couldn't work on it unless who ever "modified" it changed it back. I was playing dumb :hmmmm2: that day said it was my brother or so relative was using the phone, it was running Prime Rom 4.0, he said it was some of the best mods he has seen. He was thinking that it was the "brother", I just didn't want them to put some note in my file or so crazy thing like that because I voided the warranty. :afraid: So I tried having someone else get t back to stock but he put boost on it and I felt F****D. I thought I'll just send it in for the insurance. PM me for more information.

This next part was an awesome move, :proud: I gave my mom my old LG Optimus S added a new line giving me a new "FREE" phone the Transform Ultra. I then swapped the phone numbers (giving her the new number and I kept my old number) and a family plan was created. My LINE (old #) was not up for the upgrade until September. Here is the best part, my line (old number) is still due for upgrade in September. My mom on the old phone but it's the new line/number isn't due to upgrade for the two years.

In the end I did have to pay $100 for the replacement cause I was chicken. They were able to added it to my next months bill which helped out for the time and I was able to stretch out the payments to get caught up because the month in advance billing of the family plan and then add $100. I just got caught up and am current on it. :)

All of this still didn't stop me from rooting the replacement phone within the first week. :flute:
