Root Help please - Desire is going a bit crazy

OK, followed the rooting guide on my HTC Desire (I'm with 3 UK) since we never seem to be getting 2.2 and I've run out of room.

Now, I'm getting all sorts of problems.

Phone keeps rebooting, screen keeps turning on/off, can't make calls, can't connect to Wi-fi, all sorts of major problems. Phone keeps telling me that a 'process system is not responding' too. It doesn't even seem able to read the SD card anymore!

I have not got a gold card.

I don't mind what I have to do at this point, I don't even care if I go back to 2.1, but I have no idea what to do to fix these problems!

Is there anything I can do to just wipe the phone back to how it was? I'm a real noob at this and feel out of my depth, any help would be fantastic.

Following that guide should get you back to stock

Alternatively, you could try flashing a different ROM, but follow the guide above to get back to stock...

You may need to create a goldcard, I'm not sure. If you do: Creating a GoldCard - Android @ MoDaCo

Thanks, I'm not sure I can create a Gold card now since my Desire doesn't appear to 'see' the inserted card anymore. Going to try that unroot route. Every guide I find seems to have totally different steps and approaches!
