Root HELP PLEASE! DHD Bricked? Tried to DEBRAND WITHOUT GOLDCARD

yes it doesnt work. i think it would only work with the exact software which was branded Vodafone AU rom, and i cant find RUU for that. im pretty sure the reason even the stock RUU wont work is because i dont have a goldcard, and obviously cant make one

Do you know anyone else with an Android device that can make you a goldcard?

so i've tried to make a goldcard. even though my phone is recognized by the computer it doesn't appear in list of devices when i use cmd. I am fairly sure that i have installed all drivers as when i plug it in it's recognized as 'My HTC'. I guess i can't make a goldcard, my last chance is to find someone who can make one or has one for DHD

Hi all, I'm back trying to fix my Desire HD. I thought that now the bootloader unlocker is avaiable from HTC there might be a new way of fixing my phone..not sure but I would love to get this phone working again as the HTC Explorer I have now is so much less fun than the DHD.

Does the phone register on your PC when connected? Can you issue commands with it via ADB?

Install, navigate to the folder you extracted the SDK-Tools to via a command prompt, connect your phone, then type adb devices. Do you see the serial number of your phone on screen?

It sounds like USB Debugging isn't enabled on the handset. I don't know much about htcdev, but unfortunately, it looks as though you need to USB Debugging enabled as you issue the unlock code with fastboot/adb.

I know you said you spoke to vodafone, but it might be worth contacting HTC directly, see if they can do anything. Other than that, I'm not sure what your options are, sorry.

Well I am back again after months in the hope that some new info or technology has created a way for me to fix my DHD, I'm still struggling to let go of such a powerful phone that I hardly had the chance to use
