Root Help please gba emulator! New to it anyone?

Hey everyone
im sorry if i posted this thread in the wrong place
ive looked all over and couldnt find my answer
so heres my story hope someone can please help

ok i have an htc evo 4g rooted running off mik3d
stock kernal
i was introduced to emulators today
so i thought i would download the gameboid and install it
i downloaded the bios and 2 roms to play dragonball z and dragonball gt
i put both files into the gameboid file and unzipped
then i went back to the emulator and tried to help
heres the issue
everytime i go to play it it seems like it wants to start up and play
but it wont :(
it just backs out and takes me to my home screen
i dont know why this is
i even tried to play them without unzipping
please help if im in the wrong place for this thead issue

Where did you get the app? Also is it giving a message when it goes to homescreen or just goes to it. I have gameboid running fine on my phone.

Edit: also where did you get the bios
 
Did you want me to uninstall and redownload or downloaded and just install over top the old one. Ifbmy bios is bad where can I get a good one
 
Hmmm... I never tried the gboid emus, but from what was said above, I'd uninstall the one you have and install the dev one (maybe some corruption occurred?).

If you go with Tiger*, then you'd just need the bios. Seems like for me it either a) offered to download the bios for me, or b) I went to google and found it there.

Uninstall and then reinstall from the link I gave you.

Tiger offers to download it for you, thats the bios I use with Gamboid. I found Gamboid was more stable than the tiger emulators but it is nice that Tiger offers to download the bios for you.
 
One more question guys what's the best trusted site for Gameboid roms? Which one do you guys use? And do you download them straight from your phone or from your pc?

Well, gba roms are not allowed to be linked to on these kinds of sites. But in the past people 'hint' towards good ones.

Honestly, just google the game you want. That'd be just as fast as searching for a site and *then* searching for the game. Let me tell you this about websites. Sometimes sites can be cool, but then you'll stumble on a dope site and well, wow. What a good day.

Yeah usually I google the game but like said before you can find some pretty cool Rom websites. Just remember its not good to post links to sites like that.
