Welcome to Android Forums, Dcricy.:)
We are glad you have joined us here.

I moved your thread into the Evo 4G "all things root" portion of the forum, so that you can get the help you need with your phone.

Greetings and welcome!
Did this just happen when you flashed to boost?
Are you on the stock rom or a custom rom?
Can you send texts but not receive them?
Have you deleted anything recently?

o.k...not real familiar with boost, however, I did find this quote --
from stock rom the only thing needed to change is in the ##3282# = ##DATA# under advanced all the way down second from the bottom open that and where it says http://mms.sprintpcs.com you change that to say http://mm.myboostmobile.com then reboot the phone.
from this thread...

Edit: hope that may try to help.

well thank you very much ive tried also searching around here do you think i should re root it?

No, once you are rooted, you stay rooted unless you un-root it or accept an OTA update while rooted.
Just for more info, power phone down, wait a few seconds, hold volume down and press power at the same time and that will bring you into bootloader screen.
Then report back here with what that screen says. It may help others who come in here also.
Then you can reboot from that same screen.

On the very top, does it say "Locked oow" or "Unlocked"?

it says nothing...O.o
but im prettu sure its unlocked since i did it using HtcDev
hmmm...I would think if you used the htcdev method, your hboot would be 2.18, not 2.16.
Well, not sure, but like I said, perhaps another will come in here and offer better advice than I did:o

i calld one of the reps at boost and they wanted me to update my firmware and my guy that flashes says not to do their update so im stuck with nothing at the moment i see that a lot of ppl have viewed this but i guess dont know how to help

Is this phone supposedly rooted? If so, did I miss something or misunderstand this part of the post? I thought S-Off meant it was rooted -- which this phone is not. That appears to be an outdated radio too, I think the latest is 2.15.00.0808 and my HBoot is 6.16.1002.

I'm also flashed to Boost.

hm, you have a point there. I know when you use the HTCdev method to unlock your bootloader, you are semi-rooted. It will still say s-on but it will also say "Unlocked" at the top. However the op's bootloader says nothing, so you most likely are correct.
I also have hboot 6.16.1002 I think as I used Revolutionary way back when it was easier to root.
The more I type, the more I know you are correct.....she/he is not rooted.
Also the most current radio is 2.15.00.12.19
So updating his/her radios if not rooted is out of the question.
Besides, I am not familiar with boost to know if he/she was rooted, and decided to update radios, if it would fudge with it:confused:

I too used Revolutionary so I'm not familiar with the HTCdev method.

I'll just take your word for it. :)

Thanks for directing me to the latest update and as an update I updated to the latest update and have had no issues being on Boost. Best advice I can give on if you should update the radios while flashed to Boost is ... how confident do you feel about the one who flashed your phone? I have 100% confidence in the company I used; they were very professional and gave me a lifetime warranty for as long as I own my evo and that includes me bricking the phone intentionally or accidently.
